Greetings in Jesus name:

It has been an exciting month with several opportunities to minister to children.   We held a week long Bible camp for 10+ kids in a house that our relief ministry has helped in rebuilding, but is not yet complete.  Several of the children that attended were foster and/or adopted children. One of the fathers was in prison, one was deceased due to drug-related issues and two of the mothers were not with their children because of drugs and alcohol. Three of these children came to Christ and all were receptive to His word and His love. We hope to establish a Bible study at this house where there are 8 children – 4 adopted, 2 foster and 2 biological. Three sweet little neighbor children also attended as well as my daughter (Jessica age 10) and 2 other children from out of state.  It reminded my wife and I of our memories of camp when we were children.  With the house only being framed in it was like being in a

cabin.  It was quite precious.

The following week we held another children’s Bible camp hosted at our church.  We were able to include several other families in addition to the families from the previous week. We had nearly 20 children over the last two weeks; six of them received Christ and are showing the fruit of it!  We were able to work on the grandmother’s house of the family with 8 children, and we were able to work at the foster parent’s house where several of the children came to Christ. We had one child attend whose father was suicidal.  I am happy and blessed to say that we were able to get some volunteers out to their house to help with some of the work. There are so many critical needs before us.  Please pray with us as we seek God as to what He wants us to prioritize.

The entire foster care program seems in great need in this area. They are sending foster children out of our county because there are not enough families to take care of the children. It appears that God is up to something with the children.  Although we have done other children’s outreaches, nothing has compared to past 2 weeks.  Praise God for his love for these children and for this open door.

I attended General Council in Orlando. I asked a woman who rescues children in Cambodia, “Of the four-year-olds that you rescue, how many of them do not come to Christ?” She said, Zero.” I asked her, “Are we evangelicals?” and she said, “Sometimes.”  We can reach the children for Christ.  What an awesome opportunity, God has opened the door before us. This same woman commented that they take children from age four all the way to young adults. Not only do they come to Christ but they become leaders!

In God’s Grace…

Love,
