Christian and Missionary Alliance

Hello Christian Life Center/Camp Katrina Supporters,

We have an urgent prayer request.  Maverick Durbin, the husband of one of the women that attend our studies and services, just overdosed on drugs.  He is currently is ICU and we do not yet have an update as to his current status.  Denise, Mavericks wife, has been coming to CLC for a few months now.  Our relationship with Denise and Maverick started when we worked on their home and Maverick's sisters home under the leadership of Pastor George Williamson.  Since that time we have been close with the Durbin family.

Maverick's sister, Chris Harter, who also attends our studies at CLC had a minor stroke last Friday, she has children of her own along with two foster children to take care of.  She is at home, but still working through the effects of the stroke.

Please pray for the Dr.'s that are taking care of Maverick, please pray for Maverick that the drugs would quickly move out of his body, and please pray for Denise and Chris as they already have so much going on with Chris' stroke last week.   Please also pray that this would be an opportunity for the Lord to work in Mavericks life so that he may come to have a personal relationship with Him.

Brothers and Sisters, these are the things that are happening in the communities of Waveland/Bay St. Louis post Katrina.  Please pray for this community at large and the depression that is so prominent here.  We just had an experience today in which one of the ladies from our studies accepted Christ into her life, Satan does not like this and as long as good is happening he will continue to work against us.

James 5:16  Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Thank you in advance for your prayers.
